What is the Based on a Dream series about? Let's just say, central character Chloe's REM sleep simply isn't the same as everyone else's! Her first book is your ticket off this rock and into a series full of adventure, deep friendships, romance, the search for strength, and the importance of respecting life in all forms.

You can check out blurbs and a compilation of reviews for Treehugger here and for Risktaker here

Smellfungus Someone who is forever the pessimist or drags everyone down.

Let's use it in a sentence, shall we?:

When the mood of the party took a nosedive, Eloise said, "I think there is a smellfungus among us." To which Michael replied, "Either that or we are about to witness the apocalypse."

Your turn! Use smellfungus in a sentence via comments.

Coffitivity - A virtual coffee shop at home?

Writers, have you found Coffitivity.com yet? It offers various types of coffee shop background noise meant to boost creativity--a virtual cafe. When I first turned it on, I was like ... what? The sounds were a bit chaotic considering I usually wind up in a Starbucks and it's never that noisy. Still, I have it on now and have to say, I'm finding it a bit soothing. I'll have to really put it to the test during novel work.

So check it out and tell me what you think!

By the way, a virtual cafe allows me to use the cool mugs I have at home ... like this one:

Pumpkin nog ... something new for Thanksgiving

Trader Joe has done it again. At their taste test bar, I discovered what they call Pumpkin Nog. This will definitely be served in a punchbowl (cold) at my house this Thanksgiving. They blended their pumpkin puree (canned), pumpkin ice cream, and their Dixie Peach juice. Delicious! But I can't find their exact recipe anywhere, so I suppose I'll play with the measurements.

Pumpkin

What are you planning for Thanksgiving?

Pratfall A fall on one's rear.

Let's use it in a sentence, shall we?:

The sudden appearance of a UFO zooming over the soccer field caused a domino effect of player pratfalls.

Your turn! Use pratfall in a sentence via comments.
